Lunch and Snacks

At St Mary's, we believe that healthy eating is an important part of caring for our bodies and minds.  With our very own school kitchen, we are able to provide fresh, nutritious meals every day.  Pupils enjoy a wide variety of wholesome foods, learning about balanced diets, portion sizes, and the benefits of eating well.  Through tasting new ingredients, making healthy choices, and understanding where our food comes from, children develop lifelong habits that support their growth, energy and wellbeing.  Our school kitchen is at the heart of this journey, bringing the whole school community together around good food and healthy living.

All children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to Universal Infant Free School Meals, giving every young pupil access to a healthy, balanced lunch each day.  In addition, children in all year groups may be eligible for free school meals based on family circumstances, such as universal credit or certain benefits.  To apply for free school meals, you can complete an online application form or complete the form attached below.  Please see Lancashire County Council's website page https://www.lancashire.gov.uk/children-education-families/schools/free-school-meals/?page=3 for more information.

You can choose and pay for School Meals using the School Gateway App.  Please see the attached guide to register.
