In EYFS, we love to have fun with our learning both indoors and outdoors. Every day brings new opportunities to explore, discover and create. We offer personalised learning experiences that spark imagination, nurture creativity and help every child to reach their full potential.
Nursery and Reception class follow the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum. This is a statutory requirement. The curriculum has three prime and four further specific areas of learning which are delivered through a range of activities and learning opportunities across the year. Personal Social and Emotional Development Communication and Language Physical Development Literacy Mathematics Understanding the World Expressive Arts and Design.
Our timetable is carefully structured to provide exciting and engaging activities, ensuring children enjoy their learning while feeling safe, valued and confident to express themselves. We celebrate each child’s unique personality and encourage them to shine in their own special way.
Learning in EYFS is topic-based, and we enjoy exploring themes such as Space, Superheroes, Toys, Animals, Growing and The Circus. We also follow the children’s own interests, which helps to create a well-rounded and meaningful curriculum. Books and storytelling are at the heart of our classroom, inspiring a love of reading from the very beginning of school life.
