Our Nursery operates a Nursery Library system where parents can select books with their child to read at home. Located in the cloakroom, it is easily accessible to change books on a regular basis.
This year we have introduced Busy Bags for children to take home on a rota basis and are planned around themes the children are interested in such as farm animals, dinosaurs, the seaside etc. Each bag will contain a mixture of small world figures and a busy book of instructions of activites for parents to do with their child, all of which will help children to progress with thier learning. We look forward to seeing how everyone gets on!
Ideas to help your child at home
To support your child with their learning, we regulary update the 'Ideas to help your child at home' board, found in the Nursery cloakroom, which suggests ideas of things you can do at home with your child which links to our learning in class.
Occasionlly, we may send home copies of songs/nursery rhymes that you can learn at home with your child.
Home Learning Friday 7th January 2022- Closure for snow
Mrs Middleton and myself are so sorry that we cannot be together to play in the snow and have fun like we do every day but we will be back together and make up for it on Monday!
Today we would like you to look and read some wonderful stories with your adults or brothers and sisters and talk about what you can see, try and guess (predict) what might happen later in the story. When you have finished your stories can you remember and tell your teddy the story again?
Gather together and count 3 teddies or dolls and sit them down with you and sing any nursery rhymes you know, teaching them the words. Tell them and teach them your favourites.
Help make sandwiches for dinner- use a knife to butter the bread and cut the sandwiches into either triangle s, rectangles or squares.
Have a wonderful day ! You might even be able to build a snowman in the garde- remember about wearing warm clothes for the Winter weather. Teach your adults and brothers and sisters our "Lets Build A Snowman" song as you make your snowman.
Stay warm and safe and we will see you soon love from Mrs. Burridge and Mrs. Middleton xx
